Fanime has arrived, and it heralds in the start of CON SEASON.
That’s right CON SEASON, those few months in the summer where time feels compressed and everyone–from photographers, to cosplayers, to videographers are bringing out their A-GAME. It’s like hibernation is over, and already my Facebook is being flooded with AMAZING THINGS. I love seeing all the gorgeous vibrant pictures, and all the amazing progress people are making in the final hours before con.
At the same time, when con season hits its hard to keep control of why you do this in the first place, I mean we’ve all been there–surrounded by mountains of fabric, pieces of too many unfinished cosplays scattered around everywhere, and con’s in like THE MORNING. Still it’s nice to take a break from all the emotions, glamour, and fun and just take a minute to Push Pause and remember why we do this in the first place!
For me it’s seeing the things we’ve made, and realizing that yeah–we somehow managed to turn it into reality, and realizing how freaking cool that is!
Why do you guys cosplay?
