Final Fantasy X: Yuna’s Summoner Staff Progress

Happy Monday guys! I hope you guys are feeling rested and ready to take on the week!20150201_152805I didn’t get as much done this weekend, because I was hopped up on Benadryl–and we scored some free Les Mis tickets!! So I was off doing those things :’D! But either way, I managed to get in a bit of sanding on the staff! We headed over to Sweatshop 202’s workshop to help out on some stuff, as we are collaborating with them on a super-secret prop thingamajig! If it all works out you guys will get to see it at Katsucon :3!20150201_152738While Josh and Owlex were busy working, I was happily sanding away in my “…” mood, since Benadryl was making me all sorts of out of it. Hopefully I’ll make more progress this week on other aspects of things! Maybe I’ll finally get back to work on the wedding–the ultimate Con *^*.

That looks nice! But it seems like it would be super heavy because it’s wood haha. Is it heavy? I suck at prop stuff, and if something nice like wood would be light, I’d totally go for that.

Thanks! Josh is actually the one that did most of the cutting, though I helped out a teeny tiny bit on the sawing of it. Its not super heavy, but I kind of like weight to my props (though I say differently after shoots)!

Haha yeah my husband wants to cosplay Cloud Strife and WELD. his sword to take to comicon. I was like “okay go ahead and try to even get to the doors without whining”

      • Yuqi says:

Hahahaha yeah!!! Especially since a lot of cons lately have said no live steel >T. But the buster sword is always such a great prop to see :3 and Cloud is sooo classic!

Yeah some fans get a little nuts, so I can understand why haha! But yeah I agree. My man is really picky with his cosplay, so this character is perfect.
